Beautiful Words for Mothers

A friend sent this to me a couple of years ago. I just ran across it when cleaning out an old email account. I just had to post it...it's so beautiful. It means a lot to me reading it right now as I feel the baby kicking inside of me. It also means a lot to me reading it on a day when I feel like all I've done is argue with my children, endure tantrum after tantrum and wondering if I'm doing even one thing right in regards to raising them!

Jozsef Cardinal Mindszenty (1892—1975):

“The most important person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim
the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She
has built something more magnificent than any cathedral—a dwelling
for an immortal soul….The angels have not been blessed with such a
grace.”

You are doing at least one thing right; you are raising them, however imperfectly. You are willing to try. We all have those days. That is a beautiful quote. I have it on a prayer card or two and try to keep them in places where I will come across them somewhat frequently.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I needed them today! I keep reminding myself that the kids always go through these little "pushing the limits" phases and we always get through them!
