Joint Statement From Dallas and Fort Worth Bishops

I think this is a very important letter from our bishops that all Catholics, whether from Dallas or Fort Worth or elsewhere, should read. It is very clear in stating our obligations as Catholic voters. This stood out as most important to me...

“To vote for a candidate who supports the intrinsic evil of abortion or ‘abortion rights’ when there is a morally acceptable alternative would be to cooperate in the evil – and, therefore, morally impermissible.”

For the record, Barack Obama supports the intrinsic evil of abortion, "abortion rights". He has voted against human rights for babies born alive after attempted abortions and called babies punishments.

It cannot be more plainly stated.

Catholic Voter's Guide & Texas Voter Registration

Julie at Happy Catholic has some excellent links for Catholics who are trying to decide who to vote for in November. Please take some time to read them!

Also, for Texas voters, this is a really neat Texas Voter Registration website. You can register, make sure you already are registered, find out where to vote and much more. Check it out and make sure that you are ready to go and vote!
