My brother sent this story about my niece, Hollywood (obviously not her real name!). What a great example of a toddler's need to figure things out in their world!
I'm kneeling down putting on Hollywood's shoes, and she is sitting in a
chair. In her sweetest voice, with the brightest face and smile, she
holds my face in her hands and asks: "Are you happy Daddy?"
"Yes!" I reply, my heart filled with love and joy.
Hollywood smacks me on the top of my head. Her face doesn't change at all.
"Are you happy now, Daddy?"
